Test for Truss
PayPal and other finance companies could be banned from blocking the accounts of campaign groups for political reasons under a new law being proposed by MPs. The Telegraph has more.
Conservative backbenchers are considering launching an amendment to upcoming financial legislation in the House of Commons that would ban companies from freezing campaigners’ accounts.
It comes after UsForThem, which campaigned to keep schools open during the pandemic, and the Free Speech Union (FSU), a pressure group, had their PayPal accounts blocked and were accused of violating terms of service.
PayPal has since reinstated UsForThem’s account but the FSU’s three accounts with the U.S. tech giant are still blocked and are not expected to be reviewed.
An amendment to the Online Safety Bill or Digital Markets Bill, which are both yet to be passed in Parliament, could be launched by Tory MPs.

Why Isn't It Up To A Company To Choose Where It Spends Its Money?
Media mogul Byron Allen's $10billion racial discrimination lawsuit against McDonald's was given the green-light to proceed by a US court on Friday, nearly a year after it was dismissed last December. Allen alleges McDonald's intentionally chooses not to pay to place advertisements on black-owned networks - including his own AMG Entertainment Studios and Weather Group - costing the networks millions in potential annual revenue.
So..? Isn't a company eentitled to choose where it spends its advertising revenue, then?
An attorney for McDonald's, Loretta Lynch, reiterated that Olguin did not rule on the case's merits, and insisted the allegations were baseless.
'[The decision] has nothing whatsoever to do with the merits of the case, but simply allows Mr. Allen to continue to try, as he has for more than a year now, to substantiate his speculative and conclusory claims,' Lynch said, 'We believe the evidence will show that there was no discrimination and that Entertainment Studios' claims are meritless.'
Why shouldn't there be discrimination, though? Why should any company be forced into advertising with specific sectors of the population, rather than where it feels that advertising will do the most good?
Allen, in a statement, said the case was 'about economic inclusion of African American-owned businesses in the U.S. economy. McDonald's takes billions from African American consumers and gives almost nothing back.'
No, it gives them burgers and fries in exchange for their money. And that's all they are entitled to.

Making sense of Italy
"The post-facist party, Brothers of Italy, predicted to be a big winner in tomorrow nights tense election in Italy
✅ Leader Giorgia Meloni, is expected to form a right-wing government with Matteo Salvini and Silvio Berlusconi
✅ The potential result has put the EU on alert for several disruptions, including fears over disrupting unity in Ukraine
If she wins, the other two parties expected to form a government with her include Matteo Salvini’s far-right [i.e. conservative] League and Silvio Berlusconi of the centre-right, who has attracted younger voters over TikTok.
The party, which has gained popularity with its ‘Italians First’ agenda, has sparked concerns in Brussels. [United Europe only allows leftist and Globalist scum parties that spew liberal ESG bs]
The campaign, sparked by outgoing prime minister Mario Draghi's downfall in July, wrapped up on Friday, giving Italians a day of reprieve as electioneering is banned until the vote.
A victory by Meloni and Salvini would follow fast on an election in Sweden where the virulently [i.e. common sense] anti-migration and Eurosceptic Sweden Democrats entered a ruling coalition, just months before the Scandinavian country is due to take over the EU's rotating presidency.

"Just months before the Scandinavian country is due to take over EU's rotating presidency" Nice!
This thread will help you to understand the whole gang that works only to do propaganda. Also, you will see their Indian connection too!"

The number of illegal migrants arriving in the United Kingdom after crossing the English Channel by boat has now surpassed 30,000.
The 30,000 threshold was broken on Thursday according to figures from the Home Office, the government department with broad responsibility for policing, national security, and border control.
The local government in Hanover, Germany will be reserving a third of newly-advertised jobs exclusively for migrants in order to increase the proportion of people with foreign backgrounds working for the city.

Sore Losers...
The MPTS panel suspended Professor Stebbing for nine months, so he was unable to care for his 150 patients. The GMC had wanted more — it had pressed for him to be struck off completely.
And since they didn't get him, they went after....his witnesses.
And now the GMC has put Professor Sikora under threat of being struck off, too. He and another expert oncology witness who testified in Professor Stebbing’s defence have been served with notice from the GMC that they are now under investigation. The GMC will not tell them why.
‘Three months after the hearing had ended, I and the other defence expert received letters from the GMC saying our fitness to practise is under investigation,’ Professor Sikora told Good Health. ‘There’s been no hint of what we’d done wrong. They only sent 5,000 pages of transcript from Professor Stebbing’s disciplinary hearing.’
The GMC has a long and rather less than illustrious history but this seems Kafka-esque even for them!
‘The GMC then wrote to all my employers telling them that I am under investigation,’ says Professor Sikora. ‘Of course they are all worried that I’ve done something wrong. How can giving tribunal evidence possibly affect my fitness to practise medicine?
‘This is witness intimidation and in a criminal court it would be illegal.’
Indeed it would. But medical professionals often seem to think the laws of the land don't matter to them, has anyone noticed?

Fracking and nuclear - two components of a broad energy supply
Guido’s comments thread is usually a good read and this one’s no exception:
Wolfie Smith comments:
He's not the head of Cuadrilla, he's a geologist and one of the founders. What you are referring to are selected quotes from a Guardian article (interesting that he gave an exclusive interview to a fiercely anti-fracking publication), but thankfully those in charge of Cuadrilla totally disagree with his assessment. Nobody has ever said the UK should not embrace nuclear and/or renewables, but that our sources of domestic energy should be diverse and include fracking.
Hmmmm.

Start As You Mean To Go On, Liz..?
The UK government could scrap its entire anti-obesity strategy after ministers ordered an official review of measures designed to deter people from eating junk food, the Guardian can reveal.
The review could pave the way for Liz Truss to lift the ban on sugary products being displayed at checkouts as well as “buy one get one free” multi-buy deals in shops.
I shouldn't get too excited, the blond buffoon said much the same thing, only to roll over like a Labrador offered a low-calorie Bonio. But still...
Health experts have hailed the levy as a key initiative in the fight against dangerous obesity.
“There doesn’t seem to be any appetite from Thérèse [Coffey – the new health secretary] for nanny state stuff,” one source said.
Officials at the Office for Health Improvement and Disparities, the part of the Department for Health that formulates policies to tackle major public health problems, were said by a source to be “aghast” at the prospect of Truss potentially discarding strategies to counter junk food that have been agreed and approved by parliament. It is upsetting all the right people.
