Don’t Pay?

I came across a ‘more than unusual’ website t’other morning. Its premise is simple, the organisers see ahead of this nation a terrible future. A future where families will have to choose whether ‘TO EAT, OR TO HEAT’.
They see an immediate future where millions of ordinary Britons will be forced to pay three or four hundred percent the normal costs for gas and electricity because the power companies are choosing to charge ordinary customers at International Rates, for gas and electricity  which they themselves are producing at little above the normal cost basis what it costs them.
I reference the QUARTERLY profit statements for BP, where this giant Oil Producer and Trader made, after tax, £9 billion.
So, this website. Their name is simple Don’t Pay UK.
They are proposing a massive drive for civil disobedience in GB&NI. Their idea is, again, simple. As the Poll Tax disobedience began, which helped fell Margaret Thatcher, millions of people simply stated “We are Not Paying”. They state “we are demanding a reduction of energy bills to an affordable level. Our leverage is that we will gather a million people to pledge not to pay if the government goes ahead with another massive hike on October 1st.
H’mmmmm! I just wonder. I really do.

Putting Diversity Before Public Safety...

In a judgment today, Mrs Justice Heather Williams rejected the forces's bid to overturn the decision to reinstate the convicted officer.

Yes, it's this case. Again.

She said: 'The PAT was entitled to regard this as an exceptional case in which dismissal for the officer's gross misconduct was not a necessary and proportionate sanction.'

And what was so 'exceptional' about it?

The judge continued: 'The PAT reached the conclusion that it did because of the unique circumstances of the conviction, the officer's stellar career, the substantial impact she had had on enhancing the reputation of the MPS as a whole and its assessment that her dismissal would reduce confidence in the police in some of the communities in which the MPS had struggled to gain trust.'

In other words, the perception of those 'communities' that the police and white society has it in for them counts for more than being able to get rid of a proven liar in the force. Just because she's black.

Isn't there a name for that? Doesn't it begin with 'r'..?

Scotland Yard also challenged the reinstatement of Detective Constable Asweina Gutty, who was dismissed following her conviction for assaulting her then-partner, before being given a final written warning after an appeal to the PAT.
However, Mrs Justice Heather Williams also rejected this challenge, finding the PAT was 'entitled to conclude' that a final written warning was suitable in the 'unusual circumstances of this case'.

What was unusual about it? That it was a mixed race relationship? That they were lesbians? That the aggressor racially assaulted her lover as well as physically assaulted her?

District Judge Nina Tempia said: 'What concerns me is she is a serving police officer prone to anger outbursts and she is dealing with members of the public.'

It would appear not to concern Williams overmuch...

The karens and their victims

Item 1 from a nurse speaking on Bitchute:

Item 2 from DAD:

"In September 2021, Bob Moran – then busy balancing his unlikely dual roles of Chief Political Cartoonist at the Daily Telegraph and Unofficial Cartoonist Laurette of the Great Awakening™ – got into trouble.

This trouble ultimately resulted in his losing his job (the Telegraph one, that is), forcing him to think of new ways to support his young family.

Many celebrated his fall, including some of his Telegraph colleagues. These had been leaking their discontent for some time. A year earlier, the first in a series of reports had appeared in Private Eye:
Hacks at the Daily Telegraph are increasingly horrified by their main political cartoonist, ‘Bob’, aka Bob Moran – not so much for his cartoons as for his noisy presence on Twitter, where he has become a hero to Covid sceptics and anti-vaxxers…”
Item 3 from Mindy Robinson on Gab:

There are, of course, the globo-crims who pushed these things either negligently or deliberately ... then there are the karens.  The karen is a horse's backside, male or female, usually completely wrong, who laps up the MSM for her reality, thinks gummint would never ever "do anything to hurt us, they're looking out for us", then adopts this oh well, I'll try it for awhile stance and everyone around me will too.

If it stopped there, wwweeellllll, what can one say?  It's over, it's done.

But they didn't stop there.

Did it?

The karens were right in the forefront, cheering on as gummint rounded up the unvaxxed and sent them to camps, cheering as ordinary people lost their livelihoods, their friends, even family.

And are the karens remorseful?  Are they hell ... they've just dismissed it all and are thinking we'll have to do it all again if anyone gets a cold this winter.  'Lock em up,' say Andrew Neil and the karens, 'lock em away from us,' say the spreaders ... the karens themselves.

What's fair IYHO?  Incarceration or hanging for karens?  Too lenient?

Fighting Talk!

Dr Bryn Harris, the FSU's Chief Legal Counsel, said: 'This is a tremendous victory for Simon and for free speech. The lesson is clear: if you’re a member of the FSU, make sure your employer knows it. And if you’re an employer – don’t bully our members, or we’ll come for you.'
Free Speech Union General Secretary Toby Young said: 'I'm delighted we were able to help Simon win a landmark victory for free speech.
'I hope this sends a message to other employers: you cannot dismiss staff for gross misconduct for mocking woke diversity training. Workers have rights, including the right to free speech.'

Well, well, well...isn't it nice to see a good news story for once?

A West Midlands Trains spokesperson said: 'We respect the decision of the Tribunal. West Midlands Trains is an inclusive employer and there is no place for discriminatory behaviour within the rail industry.'

Then why did you try it, and then fail? Hard?

What's in a set of stats?

Consider:

The noble dissident versus the grubby council worker

You need to understand that Social Work as a profession is not as it once (long ago) was, staffed by down-to-earth, middle-aged ladies post raising their own families, grounded, experienced and realistic enough to see, and actually help those with problems. It was the first to be taken over during the “Long March through the Institutions”. [Comment at OoL, July 30, 2022]
Once again I stray into Julia territory, concentrating on the grubby micro-world of a rotten borough, as distinct from the globo-cult world stage.

First ... some national nobility.  I asked last night why the US northern and western states are so into this depraved, destructive agenda, plus the corrupt cities such as Austin and Atlanta in the south. Conservative libertarians over there really are conservative libertarians, with a track record of speaking out and acting out against evil, for example:

Neither the US nor UK have a mortgage on either nobility or grubby corruption [see Harper Valley PTA] but here is one example of the opposite of nobility, portrayed in a few screenshots:

We're essentially left with Lord Acton's observation in 1887:

Power tends to corrupt and absolute power corrupts absolutely.

It's more than that.  When a society largely adheres to sets of guidelines, for example ... oh, I don't know ... the Ten Commandments or maybe the Beatitudes ... and it's ingrained in the society, it becomes the hegemony ... then society sees words such as industrious, prosperous, safe for women and children ... those sorts of things ... civic responsibility.

When society falls away though from noble principles ... goes all Blair, Obama, May, Biden ... then we get the depraved lawlessness we see now.  Utter greed is but one part of it.  Can we possibly all be saints?  Not at all. Shall there be no more cakes and ale?  Not at all.

But equally ... we do not wish for what we have out there now ... for example with insane criminals try to kill off food producing farms because of "climate change" ... but I stray there into the global macro situation yet again.

Footnote

What was Negrini's greatest crime?  Yes, you saw it at once ... wearing a spotted blouse under a striped male jacket.  Unforgivable.

The All-Powerful Social Workers, and the Child they condemned to DEATH

The Local Child Safeguarding Practice Review for Leiland-James Michael Corkill was produced today. It consists of three pages, NO MORE, and two of those pages hold the actions deemed necessary to prevent future actions of the Social Workers allowing anything like this to happen again. No Apology to that grief-stricken mother. Absolutely no admission of Guilt on the part of that so-called Social Working Team who snatched that infant from his mother’s bedside! Not even the term “SORRY”. No words stating the correctness of the Social Workers who removed that tiny infant from his mother’s side as she lay in the maternity ward. They snatched that infant because IN THEIR BLOODY OPINION, her prior association with a brutal ex-partner produced worry which confirmed that she could not cope with a new-born baby, SO THEY TOOK THAT TINY INFANT, AND CONDEMNED HIM TO DEATH BY LEAVING HIM WITH A WOMAN WHO MURDERED HIM A YEAR LATER!

Tavistock

After all these years and all the accumulated data on these evil organisations - to name a few: Common Purpose, Committee of 300, Tavistock, Demos, Bank of International Settlements, Internet of all Things, GCHQ, Chatham House, round tables - it really does reflect on the ignorance of normies happy to live a mushroom life that Tavistock is able to openly display a sign and not be stormed by angry parents:

Following a very damning report by Dr Hilary Cass, a highly qualified and respected Consultant Paediatrician, into the activities of the Gender Identity Clinic run by the Tavistock and Portman NHS trust, NHS England has decided that this clinic should be shut down. The report found that the clinic was unsafe for patients. Children who presented at the Tavistock with symptoms that looked like gender identity disorder, but which might be symptoms of some other condition, were treated in ‘very short time-frames’ which meant that children were being railroaded into taking puberty blockers, cross sex hormones and eventually having sex reassignment surgery of some type.
I mean, why not just call it KGB Child Mutilation Clinic and be done?  I mean ... seriously, people ... if we fail to do even the most basic research, we can hardly moan about what happens down the track.

Sizewell C

This is a series I've been looking at, here's part three:

http://www.cityunslicker.co.uk/2022/07/uk-nukes-part-3-ffs-why.html

OK, so HMG is hell-bent on Sizewell C, to the extent that they are kissing the Frenchman's arse to get it done.  Since last week's announcement there has only been bad news from France, on Flamanville and the operations of the existing French fleet.  This follows upon well over a decade of nothing but bad news on the EPRs; so why SZC will be any better, no man can tell.

...

Even if were to be concluded on intelligent commercial terms, literally nobody would dare hazard a guess as to when this chunky bit of capacity would come on line.  That's pretty dreadful for long-term planning in a perilously-balanced sector of crucial national importance; and gives the lie to the "only nukes deliver predictable baseload electricity at scale" line, which is about all EDF has to offer.

"That Advice We Gave You About Obesity? Well..."

Britain is engulfed in a child obesity crisis, with one in four 10- and 11-year-olds officially obese.

Yeah, yeah, we know...

However, research led by the University of Oxford suggests that slimming attempts among all children are now outpacing rising weight gain levels in their respective age groups.

Oh!

Writing in the journal Archives of Disease in Childhood, the experts said there was a marked increase in weight-loss attempts among children from 2011-12 onwards. This coincided with parents being given feedback on their child’s weight as part of the National Child Measurement Programme (NCMP), which weighs and measures pupils when they are in reception and year 6.

Hurrah! Something works! Are you happy now, 'experts'..?

They said they were concerned that the increase in weight-loss attempts “has not been matched by an increase in the provision of weight management services in England, creating a risk of unsupervised and potentially inappropriate weight-control behaviours.

*sighs*

“Meanwhile, the rise in weight-loss attempts among children with a healthy weight raises concerns and suggests greater attention is needed to target weight control messages appropriately.”

Whatever the question of the day is, it seems the answer is always some version of 'gimmie more money/staff', have you noticed?
