Putting Diversity Before Public Safety...
In a judgment today, Mrs Justice Heather Williams rejected the forces's bid to overturn the decision to reinstate the convicted officer.
Yes, it's this case. Again.
She said: 'The PAT was entitled to regard this as an exceptional case in which dismissal for the officer's gross misconduct was not a necessary and proportionate sanction.'
And what was so 'exceptional' about it?
The judge continued: 'The PAT reached the conclusion that it did because of the unique circumstances of the conviction, the officer's stellar career, the substantial impact she had had on enhancing the reputation of the MPS as a whole and its assessment that her dismissal would reduce confidence in the police in some of the communities in which the MPS had struggled to gain trust.'
In other words, the perception of those 'communities' that the police and white society has it in for them counts for more than being able to get rid of a proven liar in the force. Just because she's black.
Isn't there a name for that? Doesn't it begin with 'r'..?
Scotland Yard also challenged the reinstatement of Detective Constable Asweina Gutty, who was dismissed following her conviction for assaulting her then-partner, before being given a final written warning after an appeal to the PAT.
However, Mrs Justice Heather Williams also rejected this challenge, finding the PAT was 'entitled to conclude' that a final written warning was suitable in the 'unusual circumstances of this case'.
What was unusual about it? That it was a mixed race relationship? That they were lesbians? That the aggressor racially assaulted her lover as well as physically assaulted her?
District Judge Nina Tempia said: 'What concerns me is she is a serving police officer prone to anger outbursts and she is dealing with members of the public.'
It would appear not to concern Williams overmuch...

The karens and their victims
Item 1 from a nurse speaking on Bitchute:
This trouble ultimately resulted in his losing his job (the Telegraph one, that is), forcing him to think of new ways to support his young family.
Many celebrated his fall, including some of his Telegraph colleagues. These had been leaking their discontent for some time. A year earlier, the first in a series of reports had appeared in Private Eye:
Hacks at the Daily Telegraph are increasingly horrified by their main political cartoonist, ‘Bob’, aka Bob Moran – not so much for his cartoons as for his noisy presence on Twitter, where he has become a hero to Covid sceptics and anti-vaxxers…”

Fighting Talk!
Dr Bryn Harris, the FSU's Chief Legal Counsel, said: 'This is a tremendous victory for Simon and for free speech. The lesson is clear: if you’re a member of the FSU, make sure your employer knows it. And if you’re an employer – don’t bully our members, or we’ll come for you.'
Free Speech Union General Secretary Toby Young said: 'I'm delighted we were able to help Simon win a landmark victory for free speech.
'I hope this sends a message to other employers: you cannot dismiss staff for gross misconduct for mocking woke diversity training. Workers have rights, including the right to free speech.'
Well, well, well...isn't it nice to see a good news story for once?
A West Midlands Trains spokesperson said: 'We respect the decision of the Tribunal. West Midlands Trains is an inclusive employer and there is no place for discriminatory behaviour within the rail industry.'
Then why did you try it, and then fail? Hard?

The noble dissident versus the grubby council worker
You need to understand that Social Work as a profession is not as it once (long ago) was, staffed by down-to-earth, middle-aged ladies post raising their own families, grounded, experienced and realistic enough to see, and actually help those with problems. It was the first to be taken over during the “Long March through the Institutions”. [Comment at OoL, July 30, 2022]
Power tends to corrupt and absolute power corrupts absolutely.

The All-Powerful Social Workers, and the Child they condemned to DEATH
The Local Child Safeguarding Practice Review for Leiland-James Michael Corkill was produced today. It consists of three pages, NO MORE, and two of those pages hold the actions deemed necessary to prevent future actions of the Social Workers allowing anything like this to happen again. No Apology to that grief-stricken mother. Absolutely no admission of Guilt on the part of that so-called Social Working Team who snatched that infant from his mother’s bedside! Not even the term “SORRY”. No words stating the correctness of the Social Workers who removed that tiny infant from his mother’s side as she lay in the maternity ward. They snatched that infant because IN THEIR BLOODY OPINION, her prior association with a brutal ex-partner produced worry which confirmed that she could not cope with a new-born baby, SO THEY TOOK THAT TINY INFANT, AND CONDEMNED HIM TO DEATH BY LEAVING HIM WITH A WOMAN WHO MURDERED HIM A YEAR LATER!
Tavistock
Following a very damning report by Dr Hilary Cass, a highly qualified and respected Consultant Paediatrician, into the activities of the Gender Identity Clinic run by the Tavistock and Portman NHS trust, NHS England has decided that this clinic should be shut down. The report found that the clinic was unsafe for patients. Children who presented at the Tavistock with symptoms that looked like gender identity disorder, but which might be symptoms of some other condition, were treated in ‘very short time-frames’ which meant that children were being railroaded into taking puberty blockers, cross sex hormones and eventually having sex reassignment surgery of some type.

"That Advice We Gave You About Obesity? Well..."
Britain is engulfed in a child obesity crisis, with one in four 10- and 11-year-olds officially obese.
Yeah, yeah, we know...
However, research led by the University of Oxford suggests that slimming attempts among all children are now outpacing rising weight gain levels in their respective age groups.
Oh!
Writing in the journal Archives of Disease in Childhood, the experts said there was a marked increase in weight-loss attempts among children from 2011-12 onwards. This coincided with parents being given feedback on their child’s weight as part of the National Child Measurement Programme (NCMP), which weighs and measures pupils when they are in reception and year 6.
Hurrah! Something works! Are you happy now, 'experts'..?
They said they were concerned that the increase in weight-loss attempts “has not been matched by an increase in the provision of weight management services in England, creating a risk of unsupervised and potentially inappropriate weight-control behaviours.
*sighs*
“Meanwhile, the rise in weight-loss attempts among children with a healthy weight raises concerns and suggests greater attention is needed to target weight control messages appropriately.”
Whatever the question of the day is, it seems the answer is always some version of 'gimmie more money/staff', have you noticed?
