The noble dissident versus the grubby council worker

You need to understand that Social Work as a profession is not as it once (long ago) was, staffed by down-to-earth, middle-aged ladies post raising their own families, grounded, experienced and realistic enough to see, and actually help those with problems. It was the first to be taken over during the “Long March through the Institutions”. [Comment at OoL, July 30, 2022]
Once again I stray into Julia territory, concentrating on the grubby micro-world of a rotten borough, as distinct from the globo-cult world stage.

First ... some national nobility.  I asked last night why the US northern and western states are so into this depraved, destructive agenda, plus the corrupt cities such as Austin and Atlanta in the south. Conservative libertarians over there really are conservative libertarians, with a track record of speaking out and acting out against evil, for example:

Neither the US nor UK have a mortgage on either nobility or grubby corruption [see Harper Valley PTA] but here is one example of the opposite of nobility, portrayed in a few screenshots:

We're essentially left with Lord Acton's observation in 1887:

Power tends to corrupt and absolute power corrupts absolutely.

It's more than that.  When a society largely adheres to sets of guidelines, for example ... oh, I don't know ... the Ten Commandments or maybe the Beatitudes ... and it's ingrained in the society, it becomes the hegemony ... then society sees words such as industrious, prosperous, safe for women and children ... those sorts of things ... civic responsibility.

When society falls away though from noble principles ... goes all Blair, Obama, May, Biden ... then we get the depraved lawlessness we see now.  Utter greed is but one part of it.  Can we possibly all be saints?  Not at all. Shall there be no more cakes and ale?  Not at all.

But equally ... we do not wish for what we have out there now ... for example with insane criminals try to kill off food producing farms because of "climate change" ... but I stray there into the global macro situation yet again.

What was Negrini's greatest crime?  Yes, you saw it at once ... wearing a spotted blouse under a striped male jacket.  Unforgivable.
