Isn't It There To Protect Us...?

Perhaps the most dangerous three words in the English language are 'Protect the NHS'.
So says Prof Karol Sikora. And he's spot on, isn't he, Reader?
A report from the National Audit Office (NAO) this week found that up to 740,000 potential cancer patients have been missed since the beginning of the first lockdown in March 2020. These are people who should have been referred urgently for investigation in hospital, for a disease where delays exponentially increase the risk of death. The NAO estimates that, since the pandemic began, between 35,000 and 60,000 fewer people than expected have started treatment for cancer. Untreated cancer kills. Timely diagnosis is absolutely crucial. In a few years, perhaps just four, the death toll from delays to cancer diagnoses could be higher than the total number of people who have died in Britain with Covid.

I can well believe it.

I don't believe the Whitehall sloganeers realised how powerful their catchphrase would be.

I don't believe any of them cared one whit.

The British revere their health service, and have such a deep-dyed reverence for doctors that many feared they would be seen as selfish, irresponsible or even unpatriotic if they rang their GP's surgery.
That applies particularly to the older generation — those 60 and over, who are the ones most at risk from cancer.

I'd say this was a plot to get rid of them, if I credited the people behind this with that sort of foresight.

The two diseases are simply not comparable. I am frustrated and exasperated beyond belief that we have allowed cancer diagnosis to be so badly undermined by fanning fears of a far less deadly illness.

Why the past tense, Prof? They are still doing it

The ill kept secret of Pearl Harbour

When Woke Google has, as its lead:
The U.S. Navy was aware of the traditional planning of the Imperial Japanese Navy for war with the U.S., as maintained throughout the 1930s and into the 1940s. The Japanese made no secret of it, and in the 1930s American radio intelligence gave U.S. war planners considerable insight in Japanese naval exercises.
... and when Woke Wiki chimes in:

One perspective is given by Rear Admiral Frank Edmund Beatty Jr., who at the time of the Pearl Harbor attack was an aide to the Secretary of the NavyFrank Knox and was very close to President Franklin D. Roosevelt's inner circle, remarked that:

Prior to December 7, it was evident even to me... that we were pushing Japan into a corner. I believed that it was the desire of President Roosevelt, and Prime Minister Churchill that we get into the war, as they felt the Allies could not win without us and all our efforts to cause the Germans to declare war on us failed; the conditions we imposed upon Japan—to get out of China, for example—were so severe that we knew that nation could not accept them. We were forcing her so severely that we could have known that she would react toward the United States. All her preparations in a military way — and we knew their over-all import — pointed that way.[26]

Another "eye witness viewpoint" akin to Beatty's is provided by Roosevelt's administrative assistant at the time of Pearl Harbor, Jonathan Daniels; it is a telling comment about FDR's reaction to the attack – "The blow was heavier than he had hoped it would necessarily be. ... But the risks paid off; even the loss was worth the price. ..."[27]

... then there are fairly high odds that there were certain shenanigans involved.  As it was 'steal the gold' Roosevelt involved as well ... well there it is.  These are not our friends.

"These Underclass Scum Are Just Smarter Than Us Oh-Too-Caring Professionals!"

Predictably, the 'Guardian' wheels out a stooge (professor of social work, no less!) to try to deflect blame from the state's agents over the horrific Arthur Labinjo-Hughes case:

...it is very important that inquiries take the effects of poor resourcing and the wider impact of austerity into account when looking into how social workers interacted with Arthur.

All that's missing is a whine about 'Thatcher!'...

It wasn't resources they lacked, it was clearly common sence and a desire to put the child's needs first!

Which brings us to a final hugely influential factor: the parents and their emotional impact. It is clear that they were frighteningly strategic in their abuse of Arthur and no doubt in concealing it. It has become commonplace for inquiries into such cases to conclude that social workers and others lack “professional curiosity” and miss the obvious because they are too “optimistic”; that the “rule of optimism” results in professionals naively and hopefully believing what parents tell them, and denying what is in front of them.

Because once again, that appears to have been the case here. The photo of a whopping great bruise that social workers 'didn't see' proves that!

What did these fiendishly cunning Moriartys do, hypnotise them?

But perhaps sensing that isn't likely to fly, he switches tack effortlessly: it's because they just care too much and can't cope, you horrible right-winger press!

My years of practice and research into child protection social work suggests that far from being optimistic, when faced with such aggressive and manipulative parents, social workers’ states of mind are often closer to helplessness. They are outmanoeuvred and overcome by the suffering and sadness in the atmosphere of such homes and in the children’s lives.

Then they aren't the right people for the job, and they shouldn't be in it. If I failed a task because I was 'overcome with hopelessness' I'd be sent for retraining or fired!

Why doesn't that ever apply to these people?

Covid, social distancing and the personal risks social workers routinely had to take to see children in their homes increased the complexity still further. The more that is taken into account – along with the emotional demands and funding deficits and systemic problems that mean social workers are faced with obstacles that make their job much more difficult than it needs to be – the more can be learned from Arthur’s tragic death.

We learned all we needed to learn from Baby P, Dylan Tiffin-Brown and Evelyn-Rose Muggleton, Victoria Climbie, Daniel Pelka, Ellie Butler... the list goes on and on and on.

And it will continue to go on and on and on until social work is overhauled and this kind of incompetence is not tolerated and excused.

Sorry, Essex County Council, There's No 'No Smoke Without Fire' Clause In Employment Law...

A former primary school headteacher who was cleared of sexually abusing seven children could receive compensation after a tribunal ruled he was unfairly sacked.

He was sacked before the trial? That's unusual, isn't it?

He faced six charges of sexual offences against children at the unnamed school in Essex in June 2018, but due to the way the youngsters were interviewed the case was dropped when it reached the crown court. Despite being acquitted when the CPS offered no further evidence in May 2019, the teacher was still dismissed by Essex County Council.

Ah! There was no trial.

A tribunal judge criticised Essex Police's handling of the case as well as Essex County Council that took over the disciplinary proceedings from the school governors over fears they would not be impartial. But the authority's executive director for corporate and customer services, Margaret Lee, was slammed for 'shooting from the hip' and not reading the teacher's legal statement from his QC.
Another council investigator who carried out the disciplinary probe did not look at any of the adult witnesses' statements and ignored that many of the children making the allegations were friends, according to the tribunal.

So...if there was no offence, why was he sacked? In fact, why was he even charged?

Judge Samantha Leigh (Ed: and if you can't win over 'soft touch Samantha'..!) at Basildon Crown Court said had the full extent of the initial interviews with the children been known the teacher would probably not have been charged with any criminal offences.

/facepalm

Employment Judge John Crosfill in his ruling said, 'there was evidence from children that suggested some inappropriate behaviour'. But he added: 'Against that there was considerable evidence that went the other way.
'What was required was a reasonable and careful evaluation of that evidence. I regret to say that the combined efforts of Norma Howes, Jo Reed, Clare Kershaw and Margaret Lee fell far short of that.'
Norma Howes, a child protection expert, Jo Reed, an external HR advisor, Clare Kershaw, director of education at Essex County Council and Margaret Lee, carried out the authority's probe.

Badly, clearly!

And let's hope that any compensation due to the wronged man comes directly out of their pockets, and not that of the poor long-suffering Essex taxpayer...

Essex County Council said it would take legal advice about the judge's ruling.

Dig deep, Essex ratepayers, there's more money to shell out!

Thank Goodness This 'Service' Wasn't Around When I Was Born...

The NHS's only gender service for children believes all girls who do not like 'pink ribbons and dollies' must be transgender, a whistleblower has claimed.
Dr David Bell, a consultant psychiatrist who worked at the Tavistock and Portman NHS Trust, which runs the UK's only gender identity development service for children, has said the department had a 'rigid, binary construction of gender'.

My favourite toy when I was growing up was a little garage, with all the toy cars to go in it. It had a little inspection pit, a ramp, tiny tools etc. I think my grandad bought it for me because he'd convinced himself he'd get a boy as his first granchild, and didn't want to wait until my brother was born. I loved it, and played with it until it felll to pieces, eschewing a pram and dolly my grandmother bought me to rectify the 'error'.

Did I grow up to be a tomboy or an auto mechanic? No, of course not! I grew up to be someone who would phone the AA to fill me up with petrol if my subscription let me, and as for changing a tyre..!

If it occurred today and my parents were worried (they weren't, they recognised I was a child) would I end up on hormones?

He also slammed the service's work for putting youngsters on the path to lifelong medical treatment, speaking at a conference organised by Genspect, a support group for gender-questioning children and young people. Dr Bell's comments come after he resigned from the trust earlier this year, nearly three years after his damning 2019 internal report which claimed that the trust’s Gender Identity Development Service, was ‘not fit for purpose’.

At least he did the decent thing, and took himself out of a misfunctioning organisation, instead of staying in and keeping his mouth shut while cashing the cheques. That's pretty rare.

In the 2019 report, Dr Bell wrote that the service was not fully considering factors in a child’s background, such as previous abuse or autism, which might influence their decision to transition.

It's quite amazing how many of these trans activists also have other mental issues, isn't it?

The report resulted in the resignation of the trust's governor Marcus Evans, who had worked there for more than 30 years. Evans at the time said he had serious concerns about ‘what is going on in the gender identity world’.

If you were the governor, why did you let it happen on your 30 year watch?

Switch off your TV and radio now ... for a year

Not going to run numbers on this one, just tell the tale.

First through was from Rossa's mother:

https://gab.com/Michael_Q/posts/107365486302672953

Even if you don't buy that she said that, just look at the sign behind her as she talks.  What is she - a millennial?  Telling a country, a nation what to do in their own homes? My anger is not with her, the clown, it's whoever gave her the idea that this was all right.  And that includes voters and the compliant.

Next one through was from my Russian mate who picked up on this:

https://www.theguardian.com/world/2021/nov/30/eu-advice-on-inclusive-language-withdrawn-after-rightwing-outcry

And there's the issue right there - whatever was he doing looking at that rag for?  Still - another country, we can cut him some slack there.

Next through was news that Twitter is banning any photos of people unless they've given you express permission.  I'm not even going to comment on that, just suggest you do caricatures instead:

Next through was Woodsy:

Next through was IYE with Delingpole:

Watch @TheSun try to normalise heart attacks and blood clots as things that happen to you in winter, along, of course with 'winter vagina'. Do people seriously buy this shit?

https://t.co/wmAKpyoXd4

 We'll repeat DAD with Briggs:

https://wmbriggs.com/post/38241/

He includes this gem: Video montage of Democrat politicians expressing vaccine hesitancy for partisan reasons last year. Today, many Democrat politicians accuse vaccine skeptics or critics as people who want to kill others.

All right, what do we have here?

We have just a small percentage in the society, maybe the 12-25% UKIP used to get, making a racket about all this, a hullabaloo, and the rest are staying silent out of fear or else fully complying.  Yep, you really need Ardern telling you via TV if you can go to the loo or not, don't you?

Sad thing is that it seems so.  And that is the great tragedy here as the west ebbs away and the political class are so emboldened now they can take the p*** without any fear of pushback.  This is precisely how Nineteen Eighty-Four happens.

May I humbly suggest two things:

1.  Ask one of the compliers you know at home or one of your friends - what on earth do you think you're doing?  Why are you doing this?

2.  Just shut out all TV and radio, rely on blogs and vlogs, plus channels such as OANN.

The enemy is also inside the gate

We know how the Woke loonies operate, also their masters the cabal, we've seen the apparatchiki karens in action, plus the mob itself who would tear us limb from limb if directed from above - we know that lot ... but the lack of reasoning power of many of those on our side, in opposition to that, is jawdropping.

This was remembered by Joyanna [see my blogrolls] running Paul Joseph Watson and this was, essentially, the tale:

Footage showed a white robed man of South-East Asian appearance [yes, a joke about his origin] wandering the balcony, plus a few others, then the conflagration began and you see the result above.

This isn't the first time the symbolism of Notre Dame has been attacked.  There was the little matter of the placing of the goddess of "reason" on the altar and the mob mocked, as mobs do.

It's always been a target.  I mention again that I am not Roman Catholic, I'm CofE as a matter of fact, but that is not the point here, as PJW points out - it is the cabal + apparatchiki + so called rationalists + mob against those defending our heritage + real reasoners who understand what PJW understands.

Western civilisation is built on a mix of pagan roots + Christian culture/architecture etc. + latter day classicism, which is the secular component. However, it was savaged by the same cabal which is now doing the mandatory vaxxing of children for no reason.  Let me repeat that - no reason.  There is no good reason in these people, just following orders.

As for the French Revolution - well we saw what came out of that - the terror, the savagery, just as much down to Voltaire as it was down to Robespierre and the mob.

So the question of rebuilding Notre Dame arose and suddenly the lowlifes crawled out from under their rocks:

Architecture "expert"?

Even the bloody Chinese are into it through their man, the priest who is anything but Christian:

In fact, it got so bad that the French Senate had to step in - and they're not noted for their religiosity:

See, there's this thing called heritage, one's history, independent of philosophy and religion, there are statues, e.g. of Robert E Lee in the US, Churchill here and whatever you thought of those people, they were history.  Do I want to see the a black cube in Mecca razed?  No.  Do I want to see buddhist temples come down in Thailand?  No.  Do I want to see the heritage of Luxor razed?  Of course not.

Why not?  Because I was brought up in a civilised society - that's their heritage, as long as they stay the hell out of mine, unless they're approaching with respect.  It's not just the death cult, is it?  It's not just the Chinese who are the problem.  It is these Woke "rationalists" who are the main obstacle to civilisation.  If you think not, look at any of the revisionist history from feminazi "thinktanks".

Diversity of thought is something we've preserved till now, only for those tolerated to turn around and savage us in return.  I keep coming back to the same meme:

Never forget Pastor Niemoeller's words.  Do that and you've already succumbed to the cabal and its mob.

They Did Their Jobs For Once...

...and naturally, they are being penalised for it by one of those long marchers through our institutions:
The court heard Mr Dawood was working illegally at the car wash after being refused asylum when he arrived in Britain from Sudan.
He had fled Sudan because he belonged to a tribe being persecuted by the authorities, the inquest was told.

And presumably persecuted in all the other countries in Africa too, or why flee here..?

Mr Dawood fled after immigration officers carried out an enforcement visit at the car wash at around 10.08am. He was pursued by officers to a neighbouring warehouse, where he then climbed on shelving and ran through a metal door before climbing onto its roof.
The inquest into his death was told officers did not pursue when Mr Dawood started to climb, but remained close and did not withdraw.

Well, yes. What else were they supposed to do?

Ms Saunders' report, published on Wednesday, said immigration officers should have 'practical training in pursuit situations' following his death.

Sounds a lot more like she wants them to be trained to immediately give up, doesn't it?

Mr Dawood's mother Hameda Hamed Shogar Ahmed, who travelled to the UK for her son's inquest from the Sudanese city of Al Fashir, told the court her son had wanted to earn money to send back to Sudan to support his family.

Strange sort of 'persecution' when the mother - presumably from the same tribe - is allowed to travel...

'[My son] felt a strong passion for human rights and felt that everyone should be protected and free to live their lives free from persecution and fear.'

Pity he didn't feel that everyone should obey the laws of the country they are (illegally) living in, or he wouldn't be dead...
