Stella Headley, co-founder of Rastafari Movement UK, said Ms Farrell's treatment was 'abhorrent'.

She said: 'Within our faith, females tend to cover their hair and the dress code is to wear longer skirts and dress modestly.

'We don't wear tight clothes and don't reveal flesh.'

Accusing the force of 'institutional racism', she added: 'There's an ignorance that runs through the force that doesn't respect people's faiths or cultures.'

Well, while we're discussing 'ignorance', what about ignorance of the law and how one behaves when there's a dispute? Because Hertfordshire Police had to put up with a lot from your client... 

Miss Farrell was arrested in August 2018 when she sat on her partner's car to stop it being towed away in Stevenage.

When she refused to give her name at the station she was moved to a cell monitored by round-the-clock CCTV.

As will always happen when you obstruct the police. Why would you assume that this would be a winning gambit?

Except...these days, it is: 

Deputy Chief Constable Michelle Dunn said: 'I am extremely sorry for any injuries that you suffered as a result of the actions of Hertfordshire Police.'

The force said detainees are now given 'joggers and jumpers'.

Miss Farrell had to appoint a solicitor to handle her civil claim for wrongful arrest after Hertfordshire Police's professional standards department rejected her complaint.

And £45,000 of taxpayer's money handed to this woman is the result. Plus the amount of wasted time and resources. 

Dal Babu, who was one of the UK's most senior British-Asian officers as a former Met chief superintendent, said Hertfordshire Police had made a 'catalogue of mistakes'.

They weren't the only ones, but they are on the hook for it. Enjoy the £45k (or however much of it is left after your legal fees are paid) but if you think I had a low opinion of the Rastafarian religion before, imagine how low it's sunk if you're a typical example of a follower...  

Calling Down The Lightning...

A female-only app has come under fire for discriminating against transgender women with its facial recognition AI.

Giggle, a social network 'only for females', which launched in early 2020, has since been the subject of complaints from transgender women, who told the Verge, that their requests to join have been denied by the app's facial recognition system, because their features ware not 'feminine' enough.

Oh dear, I bet the CEO is grovelling wretchedly in the teeth of the resulting media firestorm, and promising to...

Wait! 

However, now Giggle's CEO Sall Grover, who is based in Queensland, has doubled down, claiming that there is no space on the app for 'men claiming to be women'.

*gasps* 

Grover, who does not believe trans women are female (Ed: Like it was some kind of wacky fringe belief, eh? In fact, as Longrider points out, it's not even 'a belief' at all...), told Femail: 'The fact is, women of colour are on Giggle. Giggle is used by women of every race, religion and culture. The quality that Giggle users have in common is they are female.'

Look well, oh women, look well: this is how you draw a line in the sand and say 'Yhis far, and no further!'. 

Grover continued: 'I understand that PinkNews will be writing an article in support of trans women with the belief that they are female, with the specific purpose to condemn Giggle, an app for females.'

She said that she hoped the article would point out that there are plenty of apps created specifically for trans people, which she fully supports, and added: 'All I ask is for is the same respect for female spaces.'

I think she knows full well that this is not the goal of the trans activists; they don't want equality with women, they want subjugation of women. But it sounds like she's up for a fight. Which is so very refreshing, isn't it?   

She's Clearly Not Chosen Honesty Though...

A Rhodes Scholar who won a coveted scholarship at Oxford after claiming she overcame childhood abuse and grew up in foster care has been accused of lying to officials and is in fact the daughter of a radiologist who went to private school.

Mackenzie Fierceton, 24, describes herself as a 'queer, first generation, low income' student at The University of Pennsylvania. In 2020, she was given a scholarship to go to Oxford after dazzling the Rhodes Trust with her story of how she overcame welfare, an abusive mother and the foster care system.

In other words, she saw the boxes and decided to tick them all. After all, why not? It's not like anyone ever checks, clearly: 

But after a November 2020 Philadelphia Inquirer news article about the scholarship, lauded her as a 'first-generation student' who 'has been low-income throughout her life, and grew up in foster care,' an anonymous tipster contacted the Rhodes Trust and UPenn to report her for being 'blatantly dishonest'.

Ooops! 

Now, she has withdrawn from the Rhodes program and UPenn is withholding her masters degree pending further investigation.

Be sure your sins will find you out...but what does mum - sorry, mom - have to say about this? 

In a statement to The Chronicle in light of the scholarship being revoked, Dr. Morrison said of her daughter: 'Mackenzie is deeply loved by her mom and family.

'Our greatest desire is that Mackenzie chooses to live a happy, healthy, honest, and productive life, using her extraordinary gifts for the highest good.'

She could go into politics or journalism, I guess. She seems eminently qualified.  

If The 'Culture Of Misogyny' Is So Bad...

Between 1996 and 2020, at least 236 women died violently in the Republic of Ireland.

Why don't we get a figure for men? Is it because it outstrips the figure for women (like this one year) two to one?

Their names have been written out and remembered individually in recent days. A majority of these women were killed in their own homes, by a man they knew, by men they loved, men they had children with. How do we protect against that?

Well, you could start pointing out to women that 'I love him, I can change him!' isn't a strategy for survival. And you could start campaigning against open borders on the basis that Ireland doesn't need to import more misogynists.

But you don't do any of that, do you? I wonder why... 

Maybe The Fact Their 'Significant Relationships' Aren't With Parents Is The Issue..?

Former footballer Ian Wright has lamented cuts to youth centres and linked them to “lives being wasted” as he discussed an Arsenal-backed anti-knife crime campaign he is fronting alongside Idris Elba.

*sighs* Here we go again. Why are 'youth clubs' regarded as a key to stopping (mostly) black youths from acting like animals? 

Wright and Elba said one of its aims was to increase spaces for young people which may offer an alternative to gang violence.

Speaking to ITV, the former Arsenal striker said he had been “lucky” when he was growing up to have access to youth workers and “people who were looking out for me”.

You mean, your parents and relatives weren't..? 

“When you look at the last 10 years, 750 youth centres closed down, 4,500 people out of work, youth workers, people you build relationships with, people who know you, and then when you look at the lives that are being wasted… this campaign is about… inspiration and action.”

No, this campaign is about avoiding the elephant in the room. And it's clearly a Loxodonta africana. I don't see a rise in knife crime among young Chinese or Thai youth. 

The campaign was praised by Home Secretary Priti Patel, who described it as “hugely powerful” while Mayor of London Sadiq Khan also backed the drive.

That's all you need to know how effective it'll be, isn't it? 

I Guess You Don't Need To Be Well-Read To Be A Literary Agent...

...at the height of last year’s Black Lives Matter protests I was sent a list, with accompanying photographs, of the top editors working across the major publishing houses in the UK. When I read it I burst into tears. It showed a sea of almost totally white faces...

So whines Natalie Jerome, who clearly never published any history books, or she'd surely have noticed she's living in a majority white country.

...for years, loud and growing calls to diversify its teams have been pretty much ignored. No wonder the industry today finds itself in a complete mess on race.

Does it? According to whom?  

There is a crippling and toxic silence around everyday racism and how it manifests in the media: erasure, sidelining, stunting of careers, the sheer mental exhaustion of operating daily in a predominantly white space and the routine grind of being marginalised.

Surely there must be countries where you'd feel more at home, then? I'm sure they have publishing houses in Africa, and I've no doubt they don't fret over seeing a sea of black faces around the board table... 

Meanwhile, I’ve observed within publishing the increasing mention and use of “sensitivity readers”. What on earth are they, you might ask.

No, I've no need to - I suspect I already know.  

Essentially a little freelance cottage industry of marginalised folk has sprung up, post-Clanchy, to check that books aren’t racist, disablist or any other -ist before they’re sent to print.

Who is stupid enough to voluntarily employ a group of censors and allow th...

Oh. Of course. 

What this means is that the predominantly white editors commissioning and publishing books featuring characters from diverse backgrounds are now checking these books with readers from these backgrounds in order to ensure publication does not cause accidental offence.

Which is an impossible task, because as soon as they've appeased one group, another will spring up, or the existing groups will move the goalposts. 

It's the fallacy of identity politics, and anyone giving people like this woman and her fellow activists a foot in the door deserves to be held hostage to their demands forever. 

Deliberately Misrepresenting The Issue

Finn Mackay is the author of Female Masculinities and the Gender Wars and is a senior lecturer in sociology. And the 'Guardian' wheels him out to lecture us all on what's really going on with gender wars::

The UK’s national LGBTQ+ charity, Stonewall, has recently been accused of advocating for trans rights.

Who cares if it 'advocates for trans rights' (although it's hard to see what rights they don't already have)? 

No-one. It's the fact they are encouraging those rights to trump those of others that's the issue, and well you know it.

In 2017, the then prime minister Theresa May promised that these reforms would be carried out, and at a Pink News awards event assured the audience that the Conservative government did not see being trans as a mental illness, and the process of acquiring a GRC would be simplified.

It'd be easier to understand them 'not seeing it as a mental illness' if the most vocal advocates weren't clearly utterly deranged, wouldn't it? 

...due to misunderstandings of what these proposals would mean in practice, these concerns grew.

No, it wasn't 'misunderstandings' at all. It was the utter lunacy of cases like this one.  

The current gender wars are not a fight against the binary roles that constrict our society, instead this particular manifestation of the culture wars is a battle against trans women in particular.

No, it's not. And I expect most trans women - like most gays and lesbians when Stonewall was ortiginally founded - want nothing more than to be left alone to live their lives. 

As always, it's the spokepersons for this 'cause' who are intent on pushing and pushing because it's validating their own warped worldview. And giving them something to do.  

It seems as if the Conservative government has purposely fuelled and exacerbated the gender wars in order to consolidate its base.

Really? You think this is a Conservative government that panders to its base? That even knows what its base is...?

This debate may remain contentious for some time, but any lesbian, gay or bisexual person, in particular, supporting the current war on trans people, should remember that while T is near the end of our acronym, the other letters are just further back in the queue. Any talk of the movement going too far, or the community getting too broad is just a shameless display of exclusion, pointing at someone else you think is weirder than you and saying they are the real problem. But tomorrow’s weirdo could be you.

Trust me, it won't be.  

I Think You Have A Different Idea Of What 'Botched' Means, 'Guardian'...

Oklahoma botched its first execution in six years, that of John Grant who was observed convulsing and vomiting on the gurney.

Didn't 'botch it' at all. He's dead, isn't he? I don't suppose the cafeteria worker he stabbed to death while in prison went quietly and peacefully...

Reflecting a centuries-old distortion, more than three out of every four of the victims of this year’s murders ending in new death sentences were white. No non-white victim was involved in any case leading to a white person being condemned to death.

*shrugs* So? Maybe that tells you more about the nature of black on white murder than it does about 'racism'.. 

Those who died in 2021 at the hands of the Trump administration were Lisa Montgomery, a profoundly mentally-ill woman who had suffered a lifetime of abuse tantamount to torture; Corey Johnson who was severely intellectually disabled; and Dustin Higgs who indisputably did not kill anybody.

Interesting that the 'Guardian chooses to take out an onion for a woman who strangled a 23 year old pregnant mother-to-be before cutting the baby out of her womb and kidnapping it, a drug dealer whose 'intellectual shortcomings' didn't prevent him being responsible for killing seven people and the getaway driver for a serial killer who murdered three women while he waited in the car... 

I mean, there must be some people whose execution seems like it was wrong or unjust to normal-thinking people. But the left-wing media never seems to be able to find any.

Thank Goodness This 'Service' Wasn't Around When I Was Born...

The NHS's only gender service for children believes all girls who do not like 'pink ribbons and dollies' must be transgender, a whistleblower has claimed.

Dr David Bell, a consultant psychiatrist who worked at the Tavistock and Portman NHS Trust, which runs the UK's only gender identity development service for children, has said the department had a 'rigid, binary construction of gender'.

My favourite toy when I was growing up was a little garage, with all the toy cars to go in it. It had a little inspection pit, a ramp, tiny tools etc. I think my grandad bought it for me because he'd convinced himself he'd get a boy as his first granchild, and didn't want to wait until my brother was born. I loved it, and played with it until it felll to pieces, eschewing a pram and dolly my grandmother bought me to rectify the 'error'.

Did I grow up to be a tomboy or an auto mechanic? No, of course not! I grew up to be someone who would phone the AA to fill me up with petrol if my subscription let me, and as for changing a tyre..! 

If it occurred today and my parents were worried (they weren't, they recognised I was a child) would I end up on hormones?

He also slammed the service's work for putting youngsters on the path to lifelong medical treatment, speaking at a conference organised by Genspect, a support group for gender-questioning children and young people. Dr Bell's comments come after he resigned from the trust earlier this year, nearly three years after his damning 2019 internal report which claimed that the trust’s Gender Identity Development Service, was ‘not fit for purpose’.

At least he did the decent thing, and took himself out of a misfunctioning organisation, instead of staying in and keeping his mouth shut while cashing the cheques. That's pretty rare. 

In the 2019 report, Dr Bell wrote that the service was not fully considering factors in a child’s background, such as previous abuse or autism, which might influence their decision to transition.

It's quite amazing how many of these trans activists also have other mental issues, isn't it? 

The report resulted in the resignation of the trust's governor Marcus Evans, who had worked there for more than 30 years. Evans at the time said he had serious concerns about ‘what is going on in the gender identity world’.

If you were the governor, why did you let it happen on your 30 year watch?

Discussing her recent diagnosis at the age of 51, which she announced earlier this week, Sykes reflected on the struggles she has faced throughout her youth and career, some of which she had previously put down to being northern and a “straight talker”.

Most 'straight talking Northerners' that I know wouldn't be whining at the age of 51 about how awful their schooldays were... 

“I left school at 15, and I just thought I was less mature than the others, but I now know the education system wasn’t set up in a way that I was able to function there. It crowbars you into a certain way of thinking and being, and if you don’t fit the bill you get left behind. That’s why we need to tear down the education system and rebuild it, so it suits everyone.”

Which is pretty impossible to ever achieve, as a few seconds thought would have told you. 

She says she’s keen to use her profile to incite change: “My activism has massively kicked in.”

Well, with a stellar profile like that, you're bound to ... err... what have you done, exactly?

The current proposals to allow adults to give “informed consent” would not have protected me, nor indeed the thousands of others like me who willingly undertook conversion therapy because we believed it was the right thing to do. Indeed, everyone we knew believed it was the right thing to do.

I am a relatively strong person, and it nearly broke me – sadly many others are not so lucky, and tragically come to a point of believing that the only way out is to take their lives. That’s why conversion practices need to be banned outright, with no exceptions.

Does that include the sort of 'conversions' practiced by the transgender clinics as well, I wonder? I bet it doesn't! 

The government needs to think again. First, it must learn from the experiences of survivors and prioritise their concerns, for we are the true experts. We know better than anyone what needs to be banned, and how best to do this.

There's a reason we don't let victims determine the punishment for an offender for any other crime. So why should we let them determine policy?

Second, the government needs to listen to the senior human rights lawyers who have set out in the Cooper report why religious freedoms can and must be limited when significant harm is being caused.

Does anyone else suspect that all religious freedoms is really what is meant by this? Or only certain religions? 

I Don't Care That I've Won, I Want To Rub Their Noses In It...

In an interview with Rolling Stone last year, music producer Ian Brennan criticised the band’s decision to continue to “play and profit” from the song, which he said glorified slavery, rape, torture and paedophilia.

Blimey, it's going to blow his mind if he ever listens to 'Young Girl' by Gary Puckett and the Union Gap... 

Speaking to the Guardian following Richards’ comments, Brennan urged the Rolling Stones to “seize this moment” to educate their “gigantic platform” on racial equality.

Yup, that's what people go to Rolling Stones concerts for, after all.... 

He said: “That they now retire the song is a victory. But that the band continue to play coy as to the reasons for their decision rather than just making a frank admission of the inappropriateness of the lyrics as the reason why they have chosen to no longer play the song live is an opportunity for healing and leadership missed.”

It seems I'm in agreement with Piers Morgan once again; all they've shown is cowardice in grovelling to this grubby little pipsqueak. And until people grow a spine and tell these single-issue shysters to take a hike, it'll go on and on forever.

Mankind Trans Activists Cannot Bear Too Much Reality...

The issue was compounded further when the health secretary, Sajid Javid, last week insisted that “only women have a cervix”, a statement which was criticised for failing to acknowledge the existence of transgender people.

Well, tough! It's a fact. 

They still aren't women, and they will never possess a cervix unless it's on a jar by their bedside table, which frankly would never surprise me, some are clearly unhinged enough...

What a depressing state of affairs, that it's not all of them. Certainly not our PM, who's proven himself a rank coward on this matter, as on so many others. 

Johnson expressed her support for trans rights, telling a fringe event in Manchester on Tuesday: “Whether you are LGBT+ or an ally like me, we are all committed to equality and acceptance for everyone, whoever you are and whomever you love.”

I've no problem with acceptance. So long as you are OK that I'm accepting you for what you are, and not what you think you are.  

Introducing Johnson to the stage, Bunbury said: “Trans people are not dangerous, they’re not scary, and they’re certainly not a threat to women and children – although the other event titles [at the conference] might think they are.”

Unfortunately, some have proven themselves to be just that. But it appears that - even in the areas where they should be safest from predators - women remain at risk, and our government and judiciary doesn't care.

This Isn't The Cause Célèbre You Think It Is...

Cell phone video captured the harrowing moment a teenage mother from California was shot in the back of the head by a school safety officer, leaving her brain dead.

And the non-left on Twitter are making much of the fact that she's not receiving the Saint George Floyd treatment from activists and the press, because the official who fired the shots is black, and she's Hispanic. 

But let's look more closely at the actual details, shall we?  

Rodriguez, who has a five-month-old son, was shot as she drove away from the scene near Millikan High School in Long Beach on Monday.

The scene of what? Well, not just the shooting: 

That afternoon, Rodriguez had gotten into a fight with a 15-year-old girl. She was struck by a bullet while leaving the school in a car with the father of her child, Rafeul Chowdhury, 20, and his 16-year-old brother. None of the people in the car were students at the school.

Translation: She went to finish her beef with the girl, aided by her baby-daddy. But surely, you cry, that shouldn't warrant shooting her?  

Video shows the officer fire two shots at the car, which nearly hits him as it speeds out of the parking lot. Chowdhury was driving the vehicle.

Gosh, that puts a different complexion on it, doesn't it? 

Alex Cervantes, Mona's cousin, told reported she did not deserve to get shot. 'She might have been doing something she wasn't supposed to, but she was unarmed,' he said.

She was in a deadly weapon being aimed at an official trying to stop her fleeing the scene of a crime, though...  

The family have launched up a GoFundMe page to help cover funeral and legal expenses, and to help support Rodriguez's son.

I hope she gets what she's worth.

Kemi Badenoch was at the centre of a colonialism row today after WhatsApp messages in which she said she didn't 'care' about its impact on Africa were leaked.

The Equalities Minister said that those who lost out most when European states controlled Africa were 'old elites' rather than the regular people, in messages handed to Vice News.

She added that the Europeans who went in 'just made a different bunch of winners and losers', adding 'there was never any concept of ''rights'''.

Imagine a white Tory minister saying that? In fact, the usual suspects can, which is why they are making so much of this...

Ms Badenoch's messages were handed to Vice by Funmi Adebayo,a former associate of the minister.

She said she acted after Ms Badenoch was promoted in last week's reshuffle to a role involving the Foreign Office.

Ah, that famed unity of outlook of the 'black community', eh? What upsets the usual suspects so much about Ms Badenoch? 

Ms Badenoch has previously been vocal in her concerns about the the 'woke-ification' of British education.

Born in London to Nigerian parents, she has two degrees and worked in McDonald's to support herself through her studies.

She used a Commons speech to highlight the duty of schools to avoid political partisanship. She does not want white children being taught about 'white privilege and their inherited racial guilt'.

'Any school which teaches these elements of political race theory as fact, or which promotes partisan political views — such as defunding the police — without offering a balanced treatment of opposing views, is breaking the law,' she said, adding that schools should not openly support 'the anti-capitalist Black Lives Matter group'.

Yup, that'll do it! 

Oz, The Great And Terrible...

Ever since their police gave up all pretence that the brutal covid restrictions were anything to do with concern for people's health and wellbeing, they seem to have decided that anything goes:

Furious parents have hurled abuse from the stands as they watched an all-boys netball team trounce a girls team 46-12 in a state grand final - after they were controversially allowed into the competition by organisers.

And they didn't even have to put on frocks and lippy! 

Netball Queensland defended its decision to include the boys in the tournament, where they easily won their seven games on the way to the title, on the basis they had nowhere else to play due to the lower number of male players.

/facepalm 

'We are hopeful this will be a catalyst for a stand alone men's competition in 2022.'

'Queensland Suns acknowledges the perceptions of disadvantage or unfairness for the girls regional teams, however the purpose of the opportunity afforded to us was not to overshadow them, but to provide some much-needed exposure on a significant stage,' it said.

This 'reasoning' is something I'm unfamiliar with, as I am of this new incarnation of the Aussie, no longer a tough-talking, resourceful but fair member of society. What the hell happened? 

This'll Go Down Well At Friday Prayers...

Teachers can help counteract the rise of the “incel” movement and the dangers of misogyny with school lessons on respect for women and healthy relationships, ministers believe.

A government source said that Gavin Williamson, the education secretary, expects teachers to be able to tackle the risks from incel culture through the relationships, sex and health education (RSHE) curriculum within schools.

Ah! No danger of shaking anyone's worldview then, since they probably don't let their children attend these anyway... 

It follows concerns sparked by Britain’s worst mass shooting in over a decade, in which Jake Davison, 22, killed five people including his mother and a toddler in Plymouth last week.After the attack, it emerged he had shown interest in the incel – or involuntary celibate – online culture fuelled by misogyny and abuse of women. Police are investigating whether this was a motive for the shootings.

Going to run up against the thorny issue then, that he didn't solely target women, aren't you? 

On Thursday, an inquest heard that he argued with his mother, for whom he expressed hatred online, before the killing spree.

He's dead, she's dead...how do they know?

But maybe I'm making light of a serious issue, and there's lots of Jake Davisons out there (thanks, GPs!)? Are the people who make a living off this sort of thing seeing a lot of cases? 

William Baldét, a Prevent coordinator and practitioner in countering violent extremism for 10 years, said: “I’ve not personally seen anyone coming through who was explicitly driven to violence by the incel community but we have seen an increase in people engaging with those subcultures. It may be because we are better at recognising it, it may be because of an increase, or both.”

Ah. And if he can't manufacture it... 

He added: “It’s clear that misogyny as a concept runs deep through a lot of extremist ideologies. Incel is different in that it’s built around a hatred of women and feeling of inferiority, rather than bringing about societal change, but there’s a related need to tackle misogyny across society. That should be part of the whole system, at every level, and not just framed trough (sic) counter-terrorism.”

Of course, he can. They always can, can't they? 

"Rules? Those Are For Other People..."

A father of three was sentenced to prison at a hearing described by campaigners as a return to secrecy in the family courts.

The 15-month suspended sentence was delivered anonymously despite firm rules to judges they should never give prison or suspended terms without naming the individual.

What do rules mean to the people who feel entitled to rule over us? 

The ruling came after the man repeatedly defied a judge's order to stop trying to make contact with his sons.

Ah! Just as with police the real crime here is not doing as you're told... 

Open justice campaigners criticised the decision and yesterday senior judges launched an inquiry into the suppression of the father's name.

The ruling by Judge Gillian Matthews QC appears to run directly against open justice rules established eight years ago that say no adult should be handed a prison sentence in the family courts without being publicly named.

A female judge? Weren't we always told we needed more of these to 'improve' the dispensation of justice?

Her sentence follows an earlier nine-month prison term imposed on the father in December 2019 after he snatched the three boys from their mother. The children were taken back from him by police who stopped his Mercedes on the M4.

At the 2019 sentencing, Judge Matthews did allow him to be publicly named.

Wait, what? So...he's already been identified? By the same judge?

The Metropolitan police want go to the high court to insist it was correct in its decision to sack a decorated black officer after she was found with a child abuse video, sent to her on WhatsApp, on her phone.

In June, the police appeals tribunal (PAT) overturned the Met decision, saying it had acted unfairly and Williams was able to return to work.

And instead of giving in...they doubled down: 

In a statement the Met said it wanted to seek a judicial review of the decision to quash William’s sacking by the PAT. Britain’s largest force said it also wanted to challenge the reinstatement of another officer ordered by the PAT after a criminal conviction, but details of that case are not being made public.

They must want rid of these two very badly. I wonder why? 

Explaining its actions and decision to spends tens of thousands of pounds in the legal challenges, the Met said public confidence could be at stake and added: “The PAT has made findings in two separate cases that overturned carefully considered decisions to dismiss officers from the Metropolitan police, which had been made in special case hearings following criminal convictions.

“The special case hearings had deemed that the convictions amount to gross misconduct, and that the officers should be dismissed. In both cases the PAT did not agree with these findings and replaced the officers’ dismissals with a final written warning.

“In both cases the Met believes there was a failure by the PAT to make a proper assessment of the seriousness of the convictions. The Met also finds the duty to reinstate, as a result of the decisions of the PAT, is also in potential conflict with vetting processes.”

It's interesting to see who the Met decides to protect, and who they don't... 

Self Censorship Isn't Leadership...

Christian Horner has been accused of giving ‘racists an excuse to let fly their vitriol and evil’ at Lewis Hamilton following his criticism of the Mercedes driver after Sunday’s British Grand Prix.

We can't criticise someone now if they have a touch too much melanin? No matter what they do? 

Lord Hain, vice-chairman of the All Party Parliamentary Group on Formula One, believes Horner will ‘regret’ the remarks he made in the wake of Hamilton’s 180mph collision with Max Verstappen on the opening lap of the Silverstone race.

So did he say something racist? 

‘I am not suggesting that Christian was implying anything racist in what he said. He was talking in pure racing terms and not racist terms and that is obvious.’

If it's 'obvious', why are you complaining? 

‘I hope it was something said in the heat of the moment when Christian was feeling aggrieved. But these are moments when leadership is required and not intemperate outbursts.’

Like the sort of leadership you're showing, in demanding that if the person you feel requires criticism is black, you shouldn't criticise them?
