King Charles III has warned of the challenges disinformation and other "hostile online activity" pose to trust and security in the digital age. The comments, made in a letter to the National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) to mark its 10th anniversary, spoke of "malicious actors" continuing to "evolve their tactics by using automated technologies"."
Who's writing these speeches for him? Because I doubt he's ever used a computer or even a mobile phone in his life. Someone's putting words in his mouth as surely as they are putting toothpaste on his toothbrush in the morning.
From threats to our international order, to the need to balance the risks and opportunities of powerful new technologies, strong cyber security is fundamental to making the online environment safer and more resilient," he wrote.
The King said he was "acutely aware" that much of the work done by the NCSC cannot be praised publicly and that he was filled with "profound gratitude". The NCSC was established in 2016 as part of the Government Communications Headquarters to protect the UK against cyber threatsIf it can't be stated what they are doing, how do we know they are doing it at all, never mind doing it well?
Last month, the King warned AI executives of the "existential dangers" posed by the technology falling into the wrong hands.
The technology is already out there, and clearly already in the wrong hands so once again, you are superfluous to requirements.
Has Chuckles the Apostate said anything positive about Jesus, Christians or Christianity yet?
ReplyDeleteThe last one was from me. I forgot the protocol.
ReplyDeleteWhen Europe is burning and the best that our Elite can make a speech about is disinformation, you know the country is lost. The so-called leadership of the country is nothing of the sort. Morally bankrupt, corrupt and self-serving, without any consideration for the people they serve.
ReplyDeleteDo we take it back at the ballot box or by force? The next general election will decide.
Steve

Well Mark, we may not even make it to the GE in 2029, but if we do it could be the last election we have for many a year. It'll go one of two ways and neither involves politics.
Steve, sadly you may be right. The signs are Burnham wanted a snap election next May, but the rumblings about French-style Socialist/Muslim alliance rioting next month might be just the emergency Burnham needs to suspend elections.
DeleteWe'll have to see.
