My question about this might not be the one you'd expect.

Yes, of course I agree with the general thrust of the item but I have another question … and our oldest member across the way might like to answer it … what’s an 89 year old man (trudging, walking stick) doing driving in today’s nightmare conditions? Not only this:

… but also the danger to girls and the elderly out there, even with spray or walking stick … they attack in packs, the cowards, inc. the new feral yoof. Plus we do start slowing down … fine at our own pace but that’s not the pace that lot are going at in their manic digital world.
Plus one does NOT wish to see the inside of a hospital or care home … you all know why.
On the other hand, independence, freedom, which is the core reason for Orphans (the site) to exist by the way, is fiercely protected as Them move to remove it … I for one can understand that.
It is a mystery to me why so many people do not see the possibility of a CBDC as a real danger to our way of life. There is the temptation to control our spending, a form of rationing "for your own good". Just as our freedom to travel the King's highways where and when we like is being controlled, look at Oxford. Liberty is a word in the title of this site, very soon liberty will just be a word with no meaning.
ReplyDeleteOi! As someone who is almost 89 and still driving, don't write off everyone who has reached a certain birthday. T0 continue driving at my age I have to pass a medical to check both physical and mental checks. That is something a lot of younger people could do with before being allowed behind the wheel.
ReplyDeleteI agree about the App business, but when have the interests and convenience of the customer bothered most of the service industry.
