Up front, I’m undecided on whether it happened or not … without knowing, due to having no interest in it, though many readers do to a point, my feeling is that something went up and at the other end, a capsule parachuted to earth. End of.

Not a fake, but as with other launches of Bezos' sub-par sub-orbital rocket, they just went up and went down again. The same as Branson's nowhere to be seen space plane. Not having to reach orbital velocity means there are no scorch marks from re-entry. Not sure why people think it's fake for the door opening from the inside. It's just a glorified aircraft after all and the pressure is on the inside, so the best type of door is one that opens inwards. The high altitude balloon flights go just as high and stay there longer.
