This needs presentng to you with no journalistic input from me ... coz journalistic input is bias, confirming or denying or ignoring what was actually said. There might be nothing at all ... but there might very well be something.
There's a huge difference between sitting on a fence and clinging to a centrist position no matter what ... or else having positions all over the spectrum which tend to even each other out ... which has implications for parliaments and assemblies, which is a different series of posts.
So I'm going to run screenshots now of what I saw when I just awoke. There were fourteen items, most I ditched as pap, these I kept to look at again:
Whilst in the process of screenshooting these, Ian J came up on ticker on Leggy's comments thread I presume.
Our responsibility as journos
Yes, we are journos, even if we are only read by a few thou, with potential impressions of tens of thousands ... that's the usual way it goes. For a start, you only came to us being interested in said topics, except of course for stumble-upons ... who are the ones Them are more concerned about.
Which items concern me first and foremost? Well we're none of us tabula rasa ... we've seen much in our lives, we're of a certain age now, we have personal histories ranging from fear and hysteria to stoic calm ... the Caliban mind. We've formed opinions from our experiences.
Plus we know of people in private life, with medical issues ... and the medicos they've had in charge of them when in there have reacted, to my mind, very strangely indeed.
Don't forget that I'm writing my interpretation of what each friend's interpretation was and esp. in this post ... some third parties' interpretation of all that.
We can't go past this point without taking it onboard ... plus there is enormous journo dot joining going on, which authorities do have a right to be concerned about, not for evil reasons in themselves.
Thing is ... once we're on a roll ... etc. etc.
However ...
What if there actually is something going on?
What if there actually is something to the plethora of anecdotal reports ... and remember that our social media here is, to an extent, anecdotal reports ... we're forever looking for corroboration, are we not?
Easy meat for Them's plants who pose as far left, far right, whatever ... sheer theatre.
Which is a worry as we approach old age ... hospital age in other words. There is that fear that once they have you in ... it's lucrative test after test after test from people with no blood ties or marriage ties concern for you or your spouse, despite being all very nice to you on the surface.
And there is that series of posts by Grandpa at OoL on what they did to his wife.
Point of this post now? The word I'd like to insert here is "circumspect".
But even that ggl meaning I don't run with ... caution, yes, but not in the sense of being paralysed into inaction.
Once again, I'm saying that sitting on the fence does NOT mean not having opinions, not having made personal decisions on this matter, only to make different decisions on another matter.
What I'm saying is ... take each case one by one by one ... decide each case separately in your mind, which you MUST keep rational and not hysterically fearful.
At the same time ... not to escape a raging bull coming at you would be so bleedin' stoopid, would it not?
If a house is on fire, e.g. the medical profession house ... do you still have learned philosophical discussions on the nature of fire ...
... or do you leap into action?
I'm really not sure if I've got the theme of this post across. What if DAD, on that Canadian item, was 💯 correct? What if it were 💯 so? There's every chance, no, that it's not just Canada ... given all the other things going on ... for example:
One thing I do know is we, all of us, need to keep eyes and ears open to what we feel is sound information.
Ah ... but there's the rub ... innit?
