I'm going to reprint Rupert's Xpost below (courtesy of Steve at Unherdables) in the light of Ben's willingness to step down, plus Farage's strange moves ... that Zahawi and his (Nige's) going to the WEF meeting to be part of it all.

"One message has been reinforced today, in THE most spectacular fashion. Westminster is a vile snake-pit, infested with those who put their own personal interest above that of the country. There are an exceedingly small handful of patriots, but that number is vastly outnumbered by those who have their priorities in the following order. Self. Party. Country. Party politics has failed. It has failed all of us. It’s failed Great Yarmouth, it’s failed England, it’s failed Britain. It is a circus. A pantomime. A show. With no care for what’s really being inflicted on decent taxpaying men and women. They all treat it like a sport. It’s not. It is our country. Our home. Our people. The solution? A Reform dictatorship that is packing its ranks with the very same people who decimated the country over 14 dire years? I think not. Nadine Dorries? Jake Berry? Lee Anderson? Nadhim Zahawi? Really? Are these the people to turn this country around? A Labour defector is on the way too. I mean, really? Even Jenrick, who has to take full responsibility for what happened on his watch as immigration minister. Entire communities transformed into what now resembles the third world. Vast streets of foreigners unable to speak English. Towns, changed beyond recognition. This is what they did to our Britain. All of them. Today, he betrayed his colleagues. That’s his choice. I am of the view that nobody who has had any role in past Governments should be allowed by the British people to serve again. The damage is just too immense, too grave, possibly even too irreversible. All these washed-up former MPs who are weaponising the rightful anger of the British people to slink back into Parliament. It’s sickening to watch. Please remember this. THEY DID THIS TO THE COUNTRY. These are the people who destroyed Britain. They will not fix it. Reform will not fix it. Farage was supposed to destroy the establishment, not join them. That is why I backed him for so long. I was wrong to do so. Sadly, joining that establishment is all he cares about. He wants to be accepted by the people who spurned him for so very long. That is what drives him. Take revenge on a Conservative Party that refused to accept him, and then force them to bend the knee and kiss his ring. Party politics is dead. We need an entirely different way of doing things - hundreds of men and women from outside politics, put forward for election. All of whom must have had NOTHING to do with how our country has been so abhorrently failed. I am going to think long and hard over the weekend about my next step. Britain doesn’t need mere reform from the same arsonists who burnt it to the ground. A real alternative MUST be provided. I will do that."

Uh huh. In 2010, four of us tried to set up The Albion Alliance, which Norman Tebbitt said "had no traction" but Peter Hain at the Welsh Labour Conference said was an extreme rightwing danger. Some UKIP MEPs and members were aligned with our stance.

Uh huh again ... truth was, the four starters were at odds on what we wanted from the start ... or rather, were of differing priorities. Two wanted Brexit, one was after Direct Democracy and the other was temporary head of the Libertarian Party, before DK took over.

The killer was that two of us were not remotely interested in money coming into it in return for our "journalism", which explains my attitude even now.

Point of this is that there is one prolific Reformer on X and she and I mutually follow ... that is, our policies are very largely aligned. Issue then? It's when we talk "leaders". She is dead against upstarts like Rupert and Ben "splitting the party", while we are dead against the Uniparty gang of three at the top of Reform. Extract the leadership issue and we're mostly aligned.

Just food for thought.

How political naivety perpetuates bad policy, esp. if pushed by someone thinking he's a Great Statesman ... An example is the question of China on the US/Canadian border:

From Vancouver Island to Chinese bases above the northern border with Quebec etc., this is an existential threat to the US, just as the US letter agencies in the Ukraine, plus the EU globopsychos, inc. Meloni, are a threat to Russia ... and the Iran Regime is a threat to its own area, plus around the world.

The Mystery Deepens...

The man accused of killing an MIT professor and two students at Brown University left behind video recordings in which he says he had planned the attack for years, the US Department of Justice said on Tuesday. The shooter in the 13 and 15 December attacks was a former Brown student and Portuguese national, whom law enforcement found dead in a New Hampshire storage facility days after the shootings.

This case just seems to rumble on and on, each new revelation cementing it's desirability for Netflix and Prime Video scriptwriters. 

In the recordings, the shooter says that he had been planning the attack for six semesters, according to the transcript. He did not provide a motive for targeting Brown or the MIT professor, with whom he attended school in Portugal decades earlier.

So it's now looking more and more like a beef from the old country, and not just a product of typical modern US university crackpotism.  

He calls his execution of the murders “a little incompetent” but added: “At least something was done.”

About what?

Sooner or later, westerners, esp. in Britain, need to face certain realities about what has been allowed to happen.  A warning from outside:

...but then we all know they are inveterate liars, don't we? 

Racial and religious hate crime on public transport is on the rise according to new data obtained by the Guardian, as community groups report how people are restricting their daily journeys because they fear abuse or assault.

Courtney was travelling by train out of Glasgow city centre in August this year when an elderly woman boarded the carriage and sat opposite.“I didn’t think anything of it, I had my earphones in and was just choosing music,” says Courtney.

A black woman playing music with her earphones on? This tale starts out unlikely, and forges ahead into the even unlikelier... 

“Out of nowhere, she began making racist remarks, which got progressively louder after she put on a face mask. I stayed quiet because I was genuinely taken aback, you never expect that kind of hostility from a stranger.”

Throwing a bit of cloth over your mouth increases volume, eh? I never knew that! 

Like many twentysomethings, Courtney vlogs parts of her day for TikTok. “But what prompted me to start recording was when she took out a Dettol disinfectant spray and sprayed it in my direction. At that point, I felt I needed to document what was happening for my own safety.”

Are you allergic to antiseptic then?  

The woman eventually moved seats but continued to verbally harass Courtney, telling her: “Go back to your own country.” At this point, some fellow passengers stepped in to support her.

 And then the entire carriage tood up and gave her a standing ovation, I suppose? 

Akeela Ahmed, the chief executive of the British Muslim Trust, said the data echoes the stories her organisation are picking up all over the country and calls on local authorities, transport operators and community safety partners “to take urgent and meaningful action” 

 Such as? We don't find out, probably because there aren't any that come to mind.

“For visible Muslims in particular, the top deck of a bus or a half-empty train carriage can mean threatening behaviour, verbal abuse or even violent attack simply because of their faith,” said Ahmed. Attacks on public transport reported to the trust are “some of the most complex and distressing cases we have handled to date,” she adds. “Many Muslims now feel compelled to micro-analyse every movement, expression or gesture out of fear that it may be misinterpreted, recorded and weaponised against them.”

 Really? Doesn't seem to have inhibited the ones all over my social media feeds who never lose an opportunity to whine about Israel and how oppressed they are by being rexpected to obey the UK laws everyone else has to obey...

Dave Rich, the head of policy at the Community Safety Trust, said: “Although these figures are for all racial and religious hate crime on public transport, it is telling that the recent increase over the past two years aligns with the rise in antisemitic hate crime since the Hamas attack on Israel on 7 October of that year. This is an ongoing problem that shows no signs of abating and it is vital that police, the CPS and transport operators are doing everything they can to catch and prosecute perpetrators of this hatred.”

A Search for a Modern Cromwell?

 The largest problem for British people is, unfortunately, the collective bad memory of voters both young and old. Along, of course, with the politicians of both major Parties who crave our votes, and then go on to ignore everything which was promised.

We used to have a political class which could be relied upon to govern, along with a battery of (so-called) Whitehall Civil Servants who used to carry out the policies of the Ministers seated in Governments of the Day.

I would place the demise of this demi-paradise time in the Mid 1930s when, to the best of my knowledge, the first large scale process of lying to the ordinary British voter began. George 5th was on the throne, he had been a good Monarch, but a poor parent; and the Nation suffered because he refused to bring his eldest Son and Heir, Edward, the Prince of Wales, to heel and to obey the social norms of that time; which, to put it bluntly, was to court and marry a suitable single lady of good birth to ensure the Line of Succession, instead of a series of strong flirtations with other men’s wives. 

The Lie? Not a single British newspaper ever carried any stories about the louche and lascivious life with which the Heir to the Throne behaved. The regular exposes regarding the Prince being printed with almost clinical details of his love affairs printed in many American newspapers were ignored with a stony silence in Great Britain. The statements made by senior Church of England Bishops regarding the total unacceptable liaisons with married and divorced women were, again, masked and ignored by the British Press. The State Broadcaster, the BBC, also kept a stony silence regarding the louche and lascivious crew which surrounded the Prince of Wales.

So it was to a startled and stupefied British public that the news eventually slammed on to the headlines and newsprint front pages that the future King was planning to marry a twice-divorced American woman, and, almost as an afterthought, the news that both of her former husbands were still alive.

The single redeeming fact which probably saved the whole idea of a Monarch from being smashed by the wilful stupidities of a Royal Prince was, after the Abdication of a King in waiting; to be produced by the Accession to the throne of the Duke of York. Cursed by a bad stutter, he was literally thrown into the life he and his wife had avoided before his Accession, into the various and multiple public appearances necessary to Royal life; but indeed was rescued and educated to relieve the stutter by an Australian speech therapist named Lionel Logue.

Many historians acknowledge Winston Churchill as ‘The Man who Delivered Victory’, but this brilliant but volatile politician was, in my own view, happy to be seated in the shadow of King George 6th, whose remarkable and steadfast service during the whole of the War made him the true leader of a tired but triumphant Nation.

Unfortunately, that same service during those War years placed a heavy burden upon King George 6th, he underwent an operation to remove a cancer-riven lung, and he never really recovered his strength; as he continued to smoke cigarettes which were yet to be diagnosed as being so dangerous: dying as he did when I was still a schoolboy.

His eldest daughter, Elizabeth, became Queen on the day her Royal father died, and was, for the decades of her rule, loved, admired and respected; mainly for one golden rule. Apart from set speeches, to Parliament or to State functions, she kept silent, she never commented on either Government politicians or what they had either said or done. Elizabeth 2nd was indeed the perfect Constitutional Monarch.

Unfortunately, the eldest of her sons, Charles, was blessed with the loudest voice in Britain, and during the many years waiting to inherit the Throne, made sure that we, the patient British public; knew exactly what he believed in: because, again unfortunately, every “Cause of the Day” became yet another item which the future King made certain that he would promote once he became King. Again, unfortunately, Charles has inherited at least one of his late Uncle David’s attributes, which was a startling lack of appropriate behaviour towards women: other men’s wives.

It is, unfortunately, true that he betrayed his young wife Diana almost immediately after his marriage: and continued this liaison with another man’s wife. The BBC’s Martin Bashir concocted a series of forged documents which gave the impression to Diana that Charles had in fact kept his young wife under surveillance after their separation; and this lie led to Diana’s famous tv interview with the devastating phrase “There were three of us in that marriage.” 

Charles 3rd’s reign has been nothing short of a disaster for GB&NI, with the looniest of ideals taken up by a man who knows virtually nothing of how his ‘subjects’ live. His acceptance of the silliest ideas, such as ‘Climate Change’ gave a Labour Government the impetus to initiate the ‘War on Man-made Carbon Dioxide’, and this was of course compounded by the Tories’ Theresa May with her ruinous Net Zero insertion into Law.

As for the future, from my perspective it looks exceedingly dim, with Prince William of Wales firmly embedded in the ‘Net Zero’ camp, with all its financial follies.

My final thoughts?

It may sound slightly hysteric, but, sometimes, I long for a day when a modern Oliver Cromwell could arise, and sweep all the thieves and vagabonds away, secure our borders and MEAN IT, and bring an honest rule to these unhappy British Isles.

Dietary goals for Americans were first set in 1977, following the work of Senator George McGovern’s select committee. The first Dietary Guidelines for Americans (DGAs) were set in 1980 and it is now ingrained in US law that these will be published every five years.

The two key guidelines that have most impacted American food policy (and public health) for nearly 50 years were to limit total fat to no more than 30% and saturated fat to no more than 10% of calorie intake.

There are three macronutrients: fat, protein and carbs. Protein tends to stay remarkably constant at around 15% of energy intake. The imposition of a fat restriction of 30% meant that the remainder must come from carbohydrate – 55%.

An award-winning police officer, sacked after arresting a knife-wielding teenager, could now be blocked from working with children. The Telegraph has the story.

Lorne Castle was dismissed for gross misconduct after tackling the masked 15 year-old suspect to the ground and holding him down while telling him to “stop screaming like a b—-”.

More than £113,000 was raised by the public to support him after his sacking.

New official figures suggest Ed Miliband’s Net Zero push could cost an eye-popping £4.5 trillion – more than the UK’s entire GDP – with households left to foot the bill. The Mail has more.

Critics said the extraordinary mounting costs for measures such as wind farms, solar panels, green heating systems and upgrades to roads and railways are significantly higher than previous forecasts and could “bankrupt” the economy.

The figures, quietly published last month by the National Energy System Operator (NESO) – a Government quango responsible for Britain’s energy systems – includes an estimated £585 billion to be forked out by ordinary households to pay for the move away from energy-guzzling boilers towards eco-friendly heat pumps.

And if comfortable, is its ferreting actually enough? How would we know? For example, there are two distinct views coming through on Iran ... one considering it's a US Israel operation, the other the Russian view showing the playbook is the same each and every time, always results in bombing in the end and before that ... thousands of ordinary people have been slaughtered.

Planned that way?  Sheer incompetence? Trolls in high places?  And what's their overall endgame?  For example, the Net Zero scam?

A Vignette Of Policing The Chav 'Community' In 2026...

Summer Louise Scott, 17, was behind the wheel of a Toyota which left the road and struck a tree in Rotherham in the early hours of December 13 - killing her, 18-year-old Joshua Johnson and critically injuring 17-year-old Trevor Wynn.

Facebook pages show the typical modern chavette making gang-type gestures on social media - the only oddity being this one was female.

A staggering identity mix-up meant Joshua's family spent Christmas believing he was under sedation in hospital - only to be told by South Yorkshire Police he actually passed away in the crash

And now the clamour is all 'How could this happen' - the 'this' being the identity mix-up, not the crash itself. It seems the apple didn't fall far from the tree, the driver's father proving to be just as immature as his dauhter. 

Meanwhile, Trevor's family - who were told the teen was dead - were informed after three weeks of grief that he was still alive and recovering in hospital. On Wednesday, Summer's relatives described her as 'the light of everyone's life' and said she had 'a kind-hearted and pure soul'.

Just no common sense or driving ability. 

In a poignant tribute left at the crash scene, her father Lee said 'I'm not mad at you' over the accident, adding: 'Summer mate. You've really rocked my world. Don't worry about a thing. 'One day we'll meet again but until that day I'll cherish the memories we have. I was so proud of you Summer. All my love forever and always. Dad xxx'

Hardly surprising with this maulin idiot as a 'father' that she turned out as she did... 

The unthinkable identity error was only uncovered when Trevor regained consciousness on Sunday and told shocked medical staff: 'I'm Trevor.'

Sounds dramitic, but that's the 'Mail' for you. In actual fact it was less dramatic: 

The alarm was finally raised over the weekend by a friend of Joshua who believed he was visiting the teenager in hospital. As he started to open his eyes, the youth began talking about his family and where he studied – details which he believed did not match with Joshua. On Sunday, the friend contacted Joshua's parents, who alerted South Yorkshire Police, leading to the appalling mix-up finally being confirmed.

And now everyone's pointing fingers at the police, no doubt expecting that sweet, sweet compo payout. 

In an emotional statement issued on Wednesday night, the family of Joshua revealed 'what we have been through and are continuing to go through is unimaginable.' Jake Richard, MP for Rother Valley, said South Yorkshire Police now faces 'serious questions' about 'how such a failure occurred and what safeguards were not in place to prevent it'. He added: 'This is an appalling situation for the families involved.'

Both the crash itself and the mix up are on the parents of these teenagers, not the police who had to deal with the aftermath.  

In yet another extraordinary twist, the Daily Mail can reveal that Trevor's parents did view the body following the crash and accepted it was their son's. 'Trevor's parents saw Joshua, and Joshua's parents saw Trevor,' a source said.

So if they dare suggest they should be in line for compensation - and these days, who'd bet against some idiot judge ordering it - deduct the cost of the cleanup operation and tree replanting, and the NHS treatment.
