Our enemies are forever trying to further break up the UK. The only part of the UK not allowed an identity and flag, of course, is England (Emily Thornberry for example).
There’s quite a bit of Pastor Niemoeller in this issue, don’t you feel?
First they came for the socialists, and I did not speak out – because I was not a socialist. Then they came for the trade unionists, and I did not speak out – because I was not a trade unionist. Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out – because I was not a Jew. Then they came for me – and there was no one left to speak for me.
If we do not care about the right to exist of various entities, if we refuse to add our words to the outcry, e.g. that of the Canadian truckers … because they’re not strictly “us” and we look after our own, then what happens when someone in the distance does go down for want of any support?
Part of this is understanding that not all groups deserve such support … the death cult, the illegal invaders are just two which spring to mind … they are enemy, just as are those behind govt puppets.
But the ordinary folk in Northern Ireland do deserve our support. I’m not crazy for, for example, for Arlene Foster but if NI is under the hammer from our own enemies, perhaps we should give that some thought.
I completely agree, James. The odd person writing to their MP is just a pinprick for them, a very minor irritation that can be ignored.
ReplyDeleteOnly when the rats in the Houses of Parliament are inundated with complaints about their treatment of Northern Ireland will they take notice.
It also occurs to me that the present political landscape has a sense of fin de siecle about it, much the same as in 2010 when the Blair gang's 13 years of tyrannical governance came to an end. After they'd bankrupted the country.
Well the current lot have bankrupted our country but in their own particular way and perhaps more comprehensively and effectively than the other bunch of ne'er-do-wells.
