You and quite a few of us too, Toby

In all three cases, the email read as follows:

We have continued to review the information provided in connection with your account and we take seriously the input from our customers and stakeholders. Based on these ongoing reviews, we have made the decision to reinstate your account. You should now be able to use your account in the normal way. We sincerely appreciate your business and offer our apologies for any inconvenience this disruption in service may have caused.

Toby has written about it for the Spectator.

Forgive me if I don’t jump for joy. Since PayPal dropped the bombshell on September 15th, I’ve been desperately trying to save the Daily Sceptic and the Free Speech Union from going under – “inconvenience” doesn’t begin to describe what I’ve been through.

To say that such a thing is completely beyond the pale is a known-known.  Everyone does know, whether for or against.

The issue now is how to make them pay, PayPal, to make them feel the non-wisdom of their actions.

  1. It's curious but unsurprising that these people are complaining about being shut down by PayPal but they didn't bat an eyelid when the same thing happened to Tommy Robinson and others like him.
