Another empty promise from All Talk Patel?

Uh huh:

The UK Home Secretary has announced that she will overrule the use of ‘Orwellian’ non-crime hate incidents by police, in a potential win for freedom of speech in the UK, if the minister follows through on her words.

Home Secretary Priti Patel has said that she will overrule the recording of non-crime hate incidents by the police where a person’s freedom of speech is in question.
The devil's in the detail, innit.  More BS from All Talk Patel?
“We want officers to focus on policing actual crime, not hurt feelings,” a government source told The Telegraph.
Anonymous source, eh?

  1. "where a person’s freedom of speech is in question."
That's the kicker isn't it. Freedom of speech has lost all meaning these days

  2. Freedom of Speech is a right which is inviolate. It cannot be compromised.
The freedom of speech can never be in question. There are strict and very limited legal limits as to what can be said, incitement to immediate violence is but one, but the scope of these limits is defined in law. Everything else IS permitted.

  3. The devil is in the detail. How is she going to do that. We already know the process is the punishment. That won't stop unless she punishes those who do the arresting and we all know that won't happen. So yet more words but very little action.
