Considering the Arab, Muslim, North African slavers swept up a large part of the South coast of England years ago, I suppose Britons can be slaves. The song, I believe, proclaims that the country, as a whole, will never bend the knee to another country. Perhaps it should be played regularly to our politicians who seem hell bent on bending the knee to the followers of a 6th century cult, by allowing them to be collected mid channel and afforded privileges not allowed to those who legally live here.
