The federal government pays huge sums to those charities (and others like them) to "help refugees". It's a staggering amount.

Of an organisation receives money from the government, it is not a charity, but an NGO, or whatever the American equivalent is called. It's main aim is not to provide succour for the needy, but to use it's influence to change government policies in it's favour. Why is it that only the numpties in government can't see that, and stop finding them.
