It's Like Killing Your Parents Then Demanding Clemency Because You're An Orphan...

But Megan, who has done more to turn people into this than the 'Guardian' itself?

Britain has long had a reputation as a nation of curtain-twitchers, of course, but the pandemic has exacerbated these tendencies and lent them unearned moral authority. From the very beginning of the pandemic it has been a trope for tutting scolds to photograph strangers who are sitting in parks or queueing for coffee to shame them, without feeling the need to justify why they themselves were in the exact same space.

Which newspaper - OK, maybe the 'Independent' - has done more to enable 'tutting scolds' than this one? From the proper use of the latest terms and phrases to what you're supposed to eat and what you're not, to what TV characters you should love...

When was it that we stopped believing, on the whole, that other people are essentially like us? By this I don’t mean believing that we all share specific traits, but rather extending the general assumption that the motivations of others are not utterly divergent from our own.

Was it when the 'Guardian' started telling us all that we were wrong and racist for not agreeing with them, perhaps, Megan?

Mercer and the pit of vipers

Reader Michael Barningham commenting at Breitbart:

Britain’s first Veterans Minister, now sacked, has denounced Boris Johnson’s Downing Street office a “cesspit” of “snakes” and “cowards”.

Mr Mercer, your condemnation of of Roger Scruton, could at best be described as jumping on a band wagon while not in possession of the facts. Subsequent events have shown that in joining the woke Bristol 'University' brigade condemning and de platforming Roger Scruton, despite your combat record, [shows] your own judgement in the political field leaves a lot to be desired.

Your support for the British Army Veterans of the Northern Ireland troubles is to be applauded. But the thing about entering the pit of vipers that is the British government, is that expectations must adjust to the 'standards' of serpents. Trust, commitment, honour, honesty, courage of conviction, all count for diddly-squat.

Power is their sustenance, mendacity is their creed, back-stabbing their advancement code, and cowardice their survival instinct.

The palpable fear of the quislings

What an extraordinary couple of hours. Distant Relative has been posting quite a few things, plus other readers, I've been finishing one of the most extraordinary Morse episodes, twists and turns like at Westminster, very sad, involving negligence in high places and ordinary people suffering, a reader and I have been deep in conversation, plus I went to Breitbart to just check, expecting nothing and instead, this most certainly had the ring of truth to it:

According to what the Mail describes as a “well-placed source”, Prime Minister Johnson “hates the idea of lockdowns. He kept saying ‘there’s no evidence they even work’ and that ‘it goes against everything I’ve stood for’. But he was outnumbered – and ended up sitting in sullen silence as the others told him he had no choice.”

Downing Street and the Prime Minister himself have denied the “let the bodies pile” remark was ever uttered, but multiple so-called “ear-witnesses” have claimed to have heard it to journalists including ITV’s Robert Peston since the Mail broke the story. The BBC is said to have confirmed it with their sources, too.

If It's Good Enough For British Taxpayers...

The Refugee Council has supported more than 400 asylum seekers in hotels and the report was based on their testimony.
Enver Solomon, chief executive of the council, said: “People who have fled war and persecution often arrive in the UK with just the clothes on their back, in urgent need of healthcare, nutritious food and other essentials such as toiletries.”
The charity says the food provided in many of the hotels is “a major cause of concern”. Food often arrives in small portions, with limited options available, the report says. The quality varies widely across sites, with some hotels providing little or no fruit.

...it's more than good enough for 'refugees', Enver.

A Home Office spokesperson said: “Asylum seekers who would otherwise be destitute are provided with accommodation, a choice of three meals a day in line with NHS nutrition guidelines, as well as access to fresh fruit and drinking water, and we work closely with our providers and local charities to provide other basics.”

Particularly 'refugees' who are fleeing....err, Calais.

The multicoloured dawn

Just now, I opened the curtains and looked out ... and there, on the horizon, was a red dawn.

Yep, the blood red sun was rising and disconnectedly, my first thought was what am I going to run as a movie tonight at my site across the way?

Everyone and everything helps with mnemonics and in this case, Google and Youtube played their part because it was obvious - a Hitchcock film.

And there was one Hitchcock film I'd love to run but can't find on YT - The Birds.  They're squawking something awful out there right now in RL, one was on my windowsill some days ago - whatever do they have to discuss in the wee hours of dawn?

Earlier today, my memory was jogged about Tippi Hedren, the actress, entered a question about her and lo and behold, these came up from Google:

The necessity for a short summary

What I'm referring to here is something you can carry with you - a slip of paper, maybe reprised in something on your smartphone - something you can quickly hand to a mask-Karen or a lockdown-zealot who accosts you in public.

Notes

Anyone in the other 'camp' is going to be hardwired for a variety of reasons:

1.  The constant drip-drip-drip in the MSM of propaganda references to 'anti-vaxxers', 'nutters' etc. is the same that Farage and UKIP were called, same that Brexiteers were called, same that TBP was called, same that common garden Christians are called [as distinct from pointy-hatted Pope/Welby Big Church types, same that Marjorie Taylor Greene and Josh Hawley are being called.

Also the same that Big Church Scientists such as Fauci, Ferguson, Royal Society, Michael Mann and his hockey stick, Kyoto, NPCC called any who dared disagree with them with facts and figures, e.g. Anthony Watt.

These are highly organised people, these propagandists [see Senator William Jenner's comments, Feb 1954] and they are certainly going to ride roughshod over the top of any who dare try to stand in the way.

In fact, this is the essence of war - yes, we ARE at war, ladies and gentlemen, in case it's escaped anyone's notice.  The second sticking point perhaps.  The first sticking point is any demographic quoted above on 'our' side, which you do not personally wish to see bundled in with the others.  Nuff said on that for now.

2.  The 'responsible' citizen.  He's told by the 'leaders' via the MSM that 'we all have to chip in, chaps, chop-chop, let's get on with it, ra ra ra, rally around the flag', 'care for your nation, get the jab' ... and yet it's a scam he and his wife and children are being sucked into. We have more than shown at our sites that there is more than reasonable doubt which should give everyone across the country pause.

Take Away His Driving License Too...

A dad’s gun licence bid has been thwarted after a judge branded him “unfit to be trusted with a deadly firearm”.

Hmmm, why?

... the 43-year-old misled the authorities on his application form after changing his name three times, to hide his criminal record and “intemperate” short fuse.
Judge Simon James told Barnes his “deliberate lack of frankness” was indicative of someone shrouded in “secrecy and privacy”.

Amongst other things!

Going by the name Rashid Farooq, Barnes in 2006 was convicted at trial of harassing his former partner and jailed for 24 weeks.
Having changed his name to Taff Morgan in 2013, Barnes successfully launched a shotgun licence bid after failing to disclose the conviction. Police in 2015 seized the weapon following further allegations of violence.
Barnes, who works with animals, soon changed his name to Solomon Barnes-Knight. He was then handed a community order for animal cruelty in 2018 after leaving a dog inside a car. Prosecutors told the court Barnes became threatening towards police officers assisting the RSPCA - claims he denied.

/facepalm

Under his fourth name Damion Barnes, and with the help of wife Sarah Knight, a Kent Police investigations officer (Ed: Wait, what..?!), he launched another firearms licence application.

You almost have to admire his persistance, don't you?

But Barnes’ GP surgery declared to police he had a history of depression, difficulties controlling his temper, a suspected personality disorder and was in treatment for ADHD at London’s Maudsley Hospital. Legally, applicants must declare their medical history under the Firearms Act.

Sarah Knight should be expecting an interview without coffee by AC12, shouldn't she? It certainly calls into question her judgement!

His barrister Graham Gilbert added Barnes’ learning difficulties had led to confusion over which box to tick when declaring previous convictions and he had never been formally diagnosed with a personality disorder.

Anyone think this man should have a shotgun? Anyone? Bueller?

Barnes, of The Elders in Littlebourne, near Canterbury, was ordered to pay £2,250 legal fees for the appeal heard at Canterbury Crown Court on Thursday, April 8.

Can't wait to see what his fifth name will be!

How About 'People' Or 'Citizens'..?

Good question! But are you sure it's really had its day?

As with “black”, BAME’s critics are right to highlight the term’s shortcomings – it feels wonky and contrived while implying that all ethnic minorities are part of a homogeneous group. Moreover, it has never really sat well with ethnic minorities themselves. Indeed, BAME has been a particularly unsuccessful candidate for widespread adoption.
According to Google Trends, searches for “BAME” shot up in April 2020 – probably because of its frequent usage in reporting Covid health disparities. The fact that it’s already on the scrapheap shows the term was never really fit for purpose.

Oh, it's served one purpose, perhaps its original one - to divide and label us all, to seperate the deserving sheep from the racist goats. The racehustlers and grievancemongers will be bereft when it's confined to the dustbin...

With BAME unloved and on the way out, the question now is what should replace it, exactly?

Over to you, Reader!

False 'Science' and coercion on those calling it out

Intro

What is obviously needed for each of us who now see is for a simple summary of the case which we can carry on paper or iphone and bring out once someone starts a discussion or questioning - inc. your doctor.

Sources

If we're not agreed on the same sources, then we're not even on the same page to start with. Someone can start pontificating at me using Ferguson/Fauci, the govt, the MSM *1 and quoting all sorts of MSM printed stats and announcements, various charts but if they are narrative serving *2 then they are useless.  This post, just as with the Barrington Declaration *2, attempts to redress the skewed balance.

Bona fides

On social and mainstream media, 'experts' are continually prefacing their names with 'Doctor', when in fact so many ar of the narrative and are doctors of philosophy, not medicos in the field. Those saying anything remotely aligned with Barrington are of course debunked and mocked. Robert Hodgkinson, whose speech was brought to us by our reader/correspondent Ripper, opens with his own bona fides, best heard in full in the speech.
